Yellow tulip

A cascade of black tulips once sudjourned in my garden,

Yet amongst them one was a vivid yellow one,

It stood out was plucked out and thrown into a bag,

Taken to a doctor and chopped apart,

Experimented on and tested

No one ever saw that it was the same

Those yellow tulips

Of Europe

Now are few in number

For only 70 years ago the bastards tried to put them under,

6 million yellow tulips fell

1.5 million of which were only buds

Ready to blossom in the sun

Now the yellow tulips thrive again

And the black ones have dissipated

But yet again we see the world try the throw them under

The yellow tulips will fight once more for their patch of soil
