Fireworks in the darkness

Colourful flames in a bright, burning blaze, shoot high into the sky,

The darkness, is shattered for a moment and the world glows gold, growing cold.

A flash of blue, out of the blue, makes your feeling blue, seem almost untrue.

And as those sprinkles of green, tumble away from the scene,

You see something small smoke in the smouldering shadows and suddenly,

Zoom, boom and a crash of red against the darkness around your head,

The explosions that burst, they for once satisfy your undying thirst,

Your one wish, that the darkness will end, the darkness will become a symphony of lights.

Unlike the never ending pitch black nights.
